Marshall Coleman is a songwriting dynamo from
glamorous Fremont, California. A manic scribbler with a whole host of
issues and obsessions to fuel his lyrical furnace, Marshall is also a
likeable dude with a twisted sense of humor and some wicked guitar chops.
Music, damn it! And how. Coleman's tunes are new without being trendy.
They're classic without being dated. Check out the audio clips and see for
yourself. You might catch a whiff of the Beatles, a hint of the Jam, or an
echo of Queen, but "Marshall Coleman" defies simple categorization.
Marshall's music is diverse, from ballads to boot-stompers, but the bottom
line is that it's sturdy, well-crafted rock and roll.
In addition to this ongoing gig on the Web, Coleman has performed
throughout California and the rest of the States, with his own self-titled
band and lots of other outfits. He composed most of the songs on "Marshall Coleman" while jamming daily (we're talking 24-7) in his sweat-stained studio
in Fremont. See the tour schedule for upcoming performances.
It all started with that first accordian lesson back in 1971. Now, 25 years
later, the album is ready to explode onto the scene. Look for it in stores
TK. Don't worry, there are no accordians on the album.
Because Marshall likes you. So there you have a brief overview of the world of Marshall Coleman. We could spend all day telling you how brilliant the guy is, but since this is
the World Wide Web, wouldn't you rather get up-close and virtual?
